We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. The Preamble of the Constitution establishes the reason for the formation of the Federal Government of the United States of America. In Examining the Preamble it can be seen that the authors saw the Citizens as the most important entity in the formation of the Federal Government. The five reasons cited for forming a more perfect union are to further the lives of the Citizen of the Union. First, establish justice, goes to the heart of equality, a system that will enable a just resolution to disputes is the foundation for this civilized experiment in governing.
