McCain Issues Meaningless Challenge to Obama

In A Story on the AP,with bylines by By Liz Sidoti and Barry Massey Senator McCain criticized Senator Obama for not visiting Iraq since 2006. In the AP article Senator McCain is quoted as saying," Look at what happened in the last two years since Senator Obama visited and declared the war lost," Senator McCain continued", He really has no experience or knowledge or judgment about the issue of Iraq and he has wanted to surrender for a long time," . This is a totally disingenuous statement by the Old Republican Senator from Arizona, Senator Obama never used the word "surrender" and Mr. McCain is fully aware of that. If Senator McCain had any understanding of Iraq he would surely know that a Military force cannot surrender from an illegal invasion and occupation, the only thing they can do is withdraw. The United States lost this Military incursion the moment that they invaded a Sovereign Country under false pretenses and with manipulated intelligence.

Mr. McCain likes to talk about how well things are going in Iraq,Do the families of the ten American Military personnel killed this weekend think that the occupation is going well? "For him to talk about dates for withdrawal, which basically is surrender in Iraq after we're succeeding so well is, I think, really inexcusable," said McCain. No Mr. McCain what is inexcusable is a senior Senator not questioning why we invaded Iraq and why we are still there wasting the lives of Americans in an occupation that does not benefit America or her People. The question Mr. McCain is why Americans are still dying and getting maimed there. The question is why you did not return to vote on a Veterans benefit bill in the Senate.

Senator Obama should not let the Republican spin machine dictate the dialogue about Iraq, what he should be doing is demanding answers as to why this invasion took place, where did the money go to under Ambassador Bremmer, why Corporations received multi-million dollar no bid contracts without Congressional approval and why is the blood and treasure of America being squandered in Iraq? Senator McCain is an old man with old ideas, Senator Obama must continue to talk about new ideas, and ideas of change. The Iraq Policy is a total failure. Mr. McCain supports the Iraq Policy.
