Presidential Briefing

Yesterday was the 7th Anniversary of a Daily Presidential Briefing that was titled, "Bin Laden Determined to attack within the U.S.". President George W. Bush was presented with a Presidential Briefing on August 6, 2001 that warned through the intelligence agencies that bin Laden and his group were determined to attack within the boarders of our Nation, yet after 9/11/01 the President and the Administration spokespeople continued to say that no one could have predicted the attacks of 9/11/01.

Let's look at this logically without the political spin that the Administration and their mouth pieces have applied to the events of 9/11/01. If 37 days before the attack there is an intelligence briefing that states that the leader of an organization is determined to attack within the U.S. boarders, then 37 days later we are attacked within the U.S. boarders, it is obvious that "some one could have know" that there would be an attack within the U.S. by this organization contrary to the statements of the President and his Administration.

The Republican Administration, Senators, Congressmen, Right Wing Propaganda ministers and the political operatives have used the attacks of 9/11/01 to push through an agenda of deceit, war, financial deception and fear since the attacks. Every policy that has come to the forefront in the Nation since the attacks of 9/11/01 have been colored by the attacks of 9/11/01. The Republican Administration and all that surround them and their policies continue to this day to use the attacks as an excuse to taint the freedoms of our system of Government and to push through policies and executive orders that are not beneficial to the Nation or her People.

There is a glaring fact that is always ignored, the Republican Administration of George W. Bush was at the helm of the Government when a warning was received and they failed to act, and the Nation was attacked. The McCain Campaign continues to try to use the attacks of 9/11/01 to some how try to tell the American People that he would make the better President. What could be their reasoning for this, Mr. McCain has already proved by his statements that he is no more competent to deal with the International Community or threats from within or without as the current Administration. So why would America trust this man who comes from the same mind set of not taking responsibility for the attacks after a warning. The McCain Campaign, just as the current Bush Administration like to question the patriotism of the majority of the People who do not support their senseless response to the attacks that they were warned about. No where in any Presidential Briefing did it say that Iraq or the government of Iraq had anything to do with the attacks of 9/11/01. In fact the only mention ever of a responsible party was Osama bin Laden and his organization, yet, this Republican Administration invaded Afghanistan, and Iraq, one Country to pave the way for an oil pipeline and the other to entrench American Oil Companies in the production of their oil. One of the main proponents of the Iraq invasion, Richard Pearle, is now engaged in forming an oil company in Northern Iraq. Did 4,000 American Military Personnel die so that Richard Pearle can have an oil company. To paraphrase a great play writer, " Something is rotten in Republicanville".
