McCain Needs To Fire Himself

Senator McCain and Ethics Investigation John McCain is running around the Country proclaiming he is now the candidate of reform and that government regulations are needed to deal with the financial collapse of the United States Financial Markets. McCain is trying to point the finger at Senator Obama as a cause of the collapse because he took campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while failing to mention that Senior Members McCain Campaign Staff were lobbyists for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who have spread money around Washington for years in order to get deregulation.

Senator McCain's staff is packed with lobbyists on leave from their multi-million dollar lobbying jobs, yet McCain runs around proclaiming that he will end the practice. This is the same Senator McCain who proclaimed himself "the deregulator" while campaigning against George Bush for the Republican nomination in 2000.

The basic tenant of the so called "Reagan Conservatives" that the Republican Party wishes to emulate is that Government should be removed from the "free market" and let the markets run their course. The result of deregulation is upon us now, the virtual collapse of the United States Financial structure is on the verge of collapse from the deregulation that the Conservative Republican Movement has pushed since the Ronald Regan years and continues to this day.

The Regulations that the Republicans could not have removed through deregulation they just failed to enforce during the last eight years, NOW McCain says he will fire the Chairman of the S.E.C., when in fact the Chairman was regulating based on the wishes of the Republican Administration. This is the result of the ignorant position of deregulation.

The Republican Party has sought to overturn the blueprint of the New Deal since it was enacted because the policies and regulatory structure of the New Deal hindered the robber barons and aristocracy of the Conservative Republican Party from taking advantage of the system and hoarding the riches of the Nation for themselves. The function of Government is " to provide for the common good", yet the Republicans are always clamoring about Government Regulations which protect the common good from the tentacles of the thieves. Now Senator McCain wants you to believe that he is a man of the People. Senator McCain owns nine houses and 15 automobiles, how many of you can relate to him, or the better question is, do you think this man has any idea what it is like to actually work for a living, make mortgage payments, car payments, and support a family on an average salary?
